How do I order (adopt) textbooks students need for my class?
The best way to place your textbook adoption is to use the Seton Hall
University Bookstore's online adoption tool called Online Adoptions
Please note: If you are entering through the Bookstore's website, be sure
to select Online Adoptions, not Textbooks and Course
Materials. The Textbooks and Course Materials section is for making a
purchase, not submitting your adoption.
Important information about textbook rental program:
The Seton Hall University Bookstore is proud and excited to offer textbook rental in-store and online. Text rental will save your students 50% or more off of the new retail price. To see if your adopted text is eligible for rental, visit www.rent-a-text.com. If your book is on the national list, all you need to do is submit your adoption. You can also consider adding the text rental logo to your syllabus. Download the logo »
If your book is not on the national list, consider searching Rent-a-text for a rental eligible title - you can search by author, title ISBN or discipline. Or contact the Bookstore at email@example.com or (973) 761-9065 to inquire about adding your book(s) to the local rental list. In order for a title to be considered as a local rental title, it must meet the following qualifications:
- 4-term commitment (terms with similar enrollments) approved by the Department chair or dean.
- The title must not contain any consumable, single-use parts, access codes or in a loose-leaf format.
- The title must not be a package with components that are not available individually.
Once a signed commitment form is presented to the Bookstore, a request to add the title to the rental list will be made to Follett for determination. For more information go to www.rent-a-text.com or contact the Bookstore.
When do I need to submit an adoption?
