Beyond our Gates: Your Guide to Off-Campus Living

  • Looking for a place to live off campus? Trying to find a place to call home when you are not on campus? The information on this page and using the “Beyond our Gates: Your Guide to Off-Campus Living” tutorial will help you.

  • Knowing that this may be your first experience living off-campus and away from home, Seton Hall University has created a guide covering everything from the facts of renting to expectations in the community.

  • Living in South Orange and the neighboring communities can be a very rewarding experience, and we hope that this guide helps you get started.

The on-line workshop and guide is broken up into 5 modules, each focusing on different information to consider when deciding to live off campus. After you have completed all of the modules, we encourage you to let property managers and landlords know that you have taken this on-line workshop to indicate that you have learned many of the skills you will need while living off campus.
