The Office of Leadership Development seeks to coordinate a variety of leadership experiences for Seton Hall students. Our goal is to create and develop leadership training and opportunities for individuals as well as student clubs and organizations. We strive to present a comprehensive campus life leadership program that facilitates social, educational, spiritual, cultural and ethical development. This year round programming effort is called the Seton Hall Leadership Institute (SHLI). Throughout the fall and spring semester students can attend various SHLI workshops, events, presentations and the annual student leadership conference. Through these diverse activities students will have the opportunity to learn from each other as well as from administrators and faculty from across campus.
This office coordinates the following leadership opportunities:
This office provides the following leadership events:
- Annual Leadership Awards
The annual Leadership Awards are a campus wide recognition event which takes place each spring semester. The Leadership Awards celebrate the outstanding achievements of our student leaders, faculty and administration.
- Seton Hall Leadership Institute Conference (SHLI)
The Seton Hall Leadership Institute Conference takes place annually in the spring semester. This student conference hosts over 300 student participants and 40 leadership workshops. The conference provides SHU students the opportunity to network with student leaders from across campus and learn valuable leadership skills. The conference not only gives students the opportunities to participate in workshops but also to present workshops themselves. All students from the South Orange campus are eligible to register and participate.
- Involvement Fair
The Involvement Fair takes place each September on the campus Green. The Involvement Fair promotes the campus wide student clubs and organizations as well as the offices that cater to student needs. This fair gives students the opportunity to learn more about and meet student leaders from the Seton Hall Fraternities and Sororities, Student Government, Student Activities Board and over 100 different social, cultural, and academic clubs.
