Preparing for Experience
Career Center
Before venturing into an internship or full time professional opportunity, preparation is key! Your first step should be making an appointment with one of The Career Center’s dedicated career professionals. We will get you started on your journey to securing an opportunity and provide coaching and resources to help you create your resume, practice interviewing, obtain a Navigator account to apply to internships and professional opportunities as well as participate in our On-campus Interview Program, conduct research or network with our alumni Pirate Mentors.

Make an an Appointment with a Career Professional

Dedicated career professionals are available throughout your time at Seton Hall, and even beyond once you become alumni. Appointments must be scheduled in advance and you will be matched with a professional depending on your major/ area of concentration (first year students have dedicated career professionals as well). Topics covered include selecting/changing a major, internship/career searching strategies, finding the right career, resume critiquing, mock interviews, etc.  To make an appointment, call (973) 761-9355 or drop by our office in Bayley Hall, 2nd floor.

Drop-in Appointments - available for students who have already registered (had at least one appointment) with The Career Center.  These appointments are 15 minute, first-come, first-serve for quick questions or resume reviews.  See The Career Center calendar for days and times which vary by semester and college/school.

The Career Center Comes to You
- at various dates throughout the academic year, you will find our student Career Mentors at tables in locations throughout the university, including the Galleon Room, Jubilee Hall, the Walsh Library, and Pirates’ Cove.
