Accommodations for SHU Students & Alumni
Career Center

Official Requirements Required by MAT
Please refer to MAT Accommodation Information and MAT Accommodation Request Form required by MAT.

Current Students at SHU
Current students must first identify with the Office of Disability Support Services. See DSS Documentation Criteria and Forms. If it is determined that you are eligible for an accommodation, Disability Support Services will prepare the necessary paperwork/documentation on appropriate stationery and send the paperwork to The Career Center’s MAT administrator upon your request.

Alumnus of SHU

Alumni who have previously identified with the Office of Disability Support Services should contact them for assistance. If it is determined that you are eligible for an accommodation, Disability Support Services will prepare the necessary paperwork/documentation on appropriate stationery and send the paperwork to The Career Center’s MAT administrator upon your request.

Alumni who have not previously identified with the Office of Disability Support Services must obtain an official letter from an outside agency (that is no more than 3 years old). Refer to the “Official Requirements” section above for requirements and send completed paperwork to The Career Center’s MAT administrator.

Next Steps

The Career Center’s MAT administrator is responsible for forwarding the paperwork and documentation to Pearson/Psychological Corporation and then communicating the final decision to you. Based on the approved accommodations, the MAT administrator will coordinate making the necessary accommodations. No accommodations will be provided without the approval of Pearson/Psychological Corporation.

Note: An accommodation request and supporting documents must be received by The Career Center test site administrator at least 6 weeks before the desired exam date to provide adequate time for processing and confirmation of eligibility by MAT.
