The Pirate Career Plan assists you in defining and furthering your personal career plan to discover your calling and learn lifelong career management skills. Looking to explore and search hundreds of occupations and gain information on key features of each and characteristics of workers in those occupations?

Visit O*NET to learn more! Simply click on “find occupations” and choose from a variety of different search options including job families, in-demand industries, and level of education and experience required. This is a great resource for those learning what occupations are out there as well as understanding the fine details of certain specialty fields.

Occupational Outlook Handbook (career and occupational resource)
Explore online or peruse the 792 page handbook at The Career Center the most accurate and up-to-date facts on all major jobs. This resource will help you to understand the training and education required for the occupation as well as the earnings and projected growth, and much more! Search for your occupation of interest or search by category.

VAULT (online career, industry, and firm research guide)

Have you ever walked into a bookstore and ventured into the “career” section? If so, you might have came across numerous books that focused on career advice, career guides, and/or employer profiles. The good news is that it’s all right here for you online…and it’s free! This is a tremendous resource for the novice career researcher to the advanced job applicant looking for specific information on a company.
