How important is prayer in your life?
Learn how to keep prayer as the center of your life and allow it to guide you through times of happiness, difficulty and sorrow. Join the Institute for Christian Spirituality on Saturday, March 24, for a one-day retreat titled “Understanding Your Prayer Life: Obstacles, Changes, Perseverance, Love,” featuring Father John Russell, O.Carm.
The event will take place in Lewis Hall and will run from 8:30 a.m. – 3 p.m., with Mass celebrated at 9 a.m. The cost is $15, which includes lunch and is payable at the door. Father John Russell, O.Carm., presently serves as a professor of Christian Spirituality at Immaculate Conception Seminary School of Theology. He is also the spiritual director for the Institute for Christian Spirituality. An expert on St. Therese of Lisieux, he has written extensively for such publications as Spiritual Life, America, Downside Review and Carmelus. He has numerous cassette programs published by Alba House Communications, including “Becoming Spiritually Mature,” “A Path to a Contemplative Heart” and “A Journey with St. Therese of Lisieux: Doctor of the Church.” His tapes and booklets are available for purchase at the retreat.
