Reverend Pablo Gadenz, associate professor of biblical studies at Immaculate Conception Seminary School of Theology (ICSST), will be spending next year on sabbatical, working on a commentary on the Gospel of Luke for the "Catholic Commentary on Sacred Scripture" series. This series, by leading American Scripture scholars, strives to combine the best in biblical scholarship with living faith.
Father Gadenz also recently learned that he will serve as a visiting scholar at Princeton Theological Seminary during the time of his sabbatical. According to Monsignor Joseph Reilly, ICSST rector/dean, "This prestigious institution of higher learning will provide Father Gadenz with an excellent atmosphere and ample resources to undertake his research and writing. Moreover, they will benefit from his scholarly presence and priestly witness while there."
Father Gadenz received his S.S.L. from the Pontifical Biblical Institute and his doctorate in biblical theology from the Pontifical Gregorian University. His published dissertation is entitled "Called from the Jews and from the Gentiles." He is a member of the Catholic Biblical Association of America and the Society of Biblical Literature and is currently a priest of the Diocese of Trenton, New Jersey.
