The College of Education and Human Services is offering four classes* that can be applied toward certification in special education through the University Center at Raritan Valley Community College at a 25% discount from the traditional Seton Hall per graduate credit tuition
The courses would fulfill more than half of the seven-course sequence needed for New Jersey special education certification. Licensed elementary or secondary education teachers may complete the sequence to earn the additional certificate. Prospective students, who are not licensed teachers, but are interested in learning more about persons with disabilities, may also take the courses.
Courses will be offered on weekends: two weekends and online communication in between equals one course. Students may enroll in one to all four of the summer courses. The remaining courses required to apply for certification in special education will be offered in fall and spring of 2014-2015.
For more information about the courses or to signup, please contact Diana Minakakis, Director of College of Education and Human Services Graduate Admissions, at Diana.Minakakis@shu.edu or( 973) 275-2824.
