Explore the Many Possibilities of Lay Ministry

Do you think the Lord may be calling you to serve as a lay person in the Church, professionally or otherwise? Have you ever thought about the talents our Church needs today, and whether or not you might have those talents?

Join the Institute for Christian Spirituality on Saturday, November 17, for Ministry Resource Day. Jointly sponsored by the Institute’s Christian Employment Outreach (CEO) and Seminary’s Theological Education for Parish Services (STEPS) programs, the event will take place from 9 a.m. – 3 p.m. at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church, One Passaic Street, Ridgewood, N.J. Admission is $25, which is payable at the door and includes lunch and a participant workbook.

With a combination of prayer, reflection, a gifts workshop, an introduction to the various roles that need to be fulfilled in our Church today and information about where to go for further exploration and training, Ministry Resource Day will help you discover the many ways you can serve as a lay person in the Church. In addition, Reverend Monsignor Robert H. Slipe, pastor of St. Peter the Apostle Church in River Edge, N.J., will shed some light on the talents and commitment needed for Church service.
