All students must apply or reapply yearly for financial aid.
To be given the greatest consideration, students should complete the
Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) prior to March 1st,
the SHU priority date.
The online FAFSA is available January 1 each year and can be found
under FAFSA on the Web.
If the priority date is missed, students should apply as soon as
possible to be considered for financial aid that is still available,
such as Pell Grants, Stafford Loans and PLUS loans.
Students should not wait to be admitted to SHU before applying for
financial aid.
Students who apply for aid after the March 1st priority date, should
apply prior to June 1st to renew eligibility for State of New Jersey
grant programs.
Complete the online FAFSA, found at www.fafsa.ed.gov. Our school code is
002632.
Gather the documents you need.
Start with your Social Security Number, driver’s license, student and
parent income tax returns, bank statements, and investment records.
We recommend that all student electronically sign their FAFSA
application. Students and parents need to apply for a PIN to
electronically sign the student FAFSA. To apply for a PIN, visit www.PIN.ed.gov
