Dr. Kent R. Hill, Assistant Administrator for Global Health at the United States Agency for International Development (USAID) will lead off a new lecture series dedicated to the health and security of the African continent. Dr. Hill will be speaking on Wednesday, September 24 at 4pm in the Chancellor's Suite. Sponsored by the Whitehead School of Diplomacy and International Relations, the series will examine how health epidemics such as HIV/AIDS, Tuberculosis, Malaria and other emergencies have threatened the political, economic, and social life of the region. The series also aims to examine the various approaches supported by the international community to effect relief and stability.
