On Saturday, April 12, Immaculate Conception Seminary School of Theology will host “Prayerfully Speaking,” a workshop providing practical tools and effective communication skills for leading, developing and presenting events such as lectures, prayer services, retreats and group discussions. Sponsored by the Institute for Christian Spirituality’s Parish Partnership Program, this unique workshop will take place from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. in Lewis Hall. The event will feature Mike St. Pierre, dean of students at Oratory Prep in Summit, New Jersey, as well as author Allan Wright and communication professor James McGlone.

In addition to his position at Oratory Prep, St. Pierre hosts the wildly popular blog “The Daily Saint,” which focuses on developing effective ways of getting things done -- with a spiritual twist. He has also written articles for several publications including Momentum, Today's Parish Minister and Religion Teacher's Journal. Additionally, he writes each week for some of the most successful blogs on the internet and is a proud graduate of Immaculate Conception Seminary School of Theology. A former adjunct professor at Seton Hall University, Wright teaches at Assumption College for Sisters in Mendham, New Jersey. Having earned his M.A. in Theology in Scripture from Immaculate Conception Seminary School of Theology, he is the accomplished author of Jesus in the House: Gospel Reflections on Christ's Presence in the Home and Silent Witnesses in the Gospels.

McGlone has been teaching speech and theatre for nearly five decades. A graduate of Seton Hall University, Catholic University of America and New York University, McGlone teaches Irish and American stage courses, as well as oral communication and group discussion in Seton Hall’s Department of Communication. He also directs two student productions and three Celtic Theatre productions each year.
