The Stillman School of Business earned a ranking of 57 in "
The Best Undergrad B-Schools," BusinessWeek’s third annual
nationwide ranking of undergraduate business programs.
The School is recognized for its exemplary undergraduate program,
surpassing powerhouse business schools such as Ohio State University,
University of Massachusetts, University of Connecticut, the University
of Oregon, and many others.
To identify the top undergraduate business programs, BusinessWeek uses
nine measures of student satisfaction, post-graduation outcomes, and
academic quality. Approximately 23,000 graduating seniors from eligible
schools completed a 50-question survey on everything from the quality
of teaching to recreational facilities. In addition to surveying
students, BusinessWeek polled corporate recruiters on which programs
turn out the best graduates, which schools have the most innovative
curricula, and which schools have the most effective career services.
The student survey counted for 30% of the final ranking, with the
recruiter survey contributing 20%. Starting salaries and the MBA feeder
school measure counted for 10% each. The academic quality measure
contributed the remaining 30%.
“This placement in the BusinessWeek ranking is one of the many outside
indicators of the School’s high quality - from students winning
prestigious competitions at the NYSSA to the School’s recent national
award for its undergraduate assessment process," noted Karen Boroff,
dean of the Stillman School of Business.
