College of Nursing Alumna Named Emerging Nurse Leader
Seton Hall > News & Events

Susan Peck, APN, MSNSusan Peck, APN, MSN, a women’s health NP at the Rutgers Robert Wood Johnson Medical School department of OB/GYN, has been named to the Association of Women's Health, Obstetric and Neonatal Nurses' 2014 class of emerging nurse leaders. A nurse for 17 years, Peck holds an MSN from Seton Hall University.

Launched in 2007, the emerging leaders program engages nurses in a formal, yearlong leadership training program. Activities include guidance from mentors, networking events, meetings with members of Congress and their staff, multiple continuing education opportunities and other experiential training to build confidence and leadership skills.

The program is made possible through a one-year educational grant from The Johnson & Johnson Campaign for Nursing's Future. The program places special emphasis on fostering diversity — in age, race and gender — among its prospects.
