Alumni Club Program Experiences Rapid Growth
Seton Hall > News & Events

Alumni ClubsBeginning in May 2013, Alumni Relations launched a renewed effort around its Alumni Clubs program to recruit members, increase programming and form new official groups. In addition, a Corporate Alumni Club program was created to provide alumni in similar career fields, or working within the same organizations, with opportunities for networking and career advancement.

Seton Hall's Alumni Clubs program, facilitated by Robert Mayers '10/M.B.A. '12, associate director of alumni clubs, brings together groups of graduates with similar work, life and educational experiences for career-based and social activities. Alumni with an interest in forming a group work in partnership with Mayers to identify potential members and plan engaging programming both on and off campus.

"Seton Hall has long had very active and successful Alumni Clubs, but my focus has been to expand the program," said Mayers. "This is a time of great growth for Seton Hall and part of that growth includes ever-increasing opportunities for our alumni to become engaged."

Volunteer leaders are crucial to the success of each club. Alumni leaders are in regular contact with Seton Hall and assist in the planning and execution of each group's activities. Domenick Di Minni '97 organizes one of the University's newest groups, the Pi Kappa Alpha Alumni Club, and is proud to say that the organization is off to a great start. "We have held a number of successful events including holiday dinners, golf outings, athletic events, and anniversary banquets," Di Minni shares. "In addition, philanthropic endeavors involving worthy causes… have been core activities."
