Gentlemen of the HallSeton Hall’s premiere a cappella group, The Gentlemen of the Hall, will perform the national anthem at the New York Mets vs. Cincinnati Reds game at Citi Field on Fri., April 4 at precisely 6:56 p.m.

In their largest performance yet, the 16-man student-run organization will take the field before an anticipated crowd of over 26,000 people, hundreds of whom will be Seton Hall students ready to cheer them on. The Gentlemen of the Hall earned this opportunity when the Mets reviewed a self-submitted video of the group singing at a SHU women's basketball game, and the team’s productions department approved the group for quality.

"We are all very excited for this unbelievable opportunity to perform at a Mets game,” said sophomore Clayton Collier, a founding member and president of the group. “Since our inception just one year ago, our members have committed a tremendous amount of time and effort to make this group a success."

It’s been a busy first year for The Gentlemen of the Hall. Under the musical direction of sophomore Kevin Scimecca, also a founding member, the group’s first performance was an arrangement of “Magic,” performed on the green to promote a B.o.B concert. They also traveled to SUNY New Paltz to perform in an a cappella showcase, sang “Amazing Grace” at a candlelight vigil in October, performed the national anthem at several men’s and women’s basketball games, served as the opening act at the university's annual Christmas Tree Lighting, and sang at several small on-campus events including an impromptu performance in the Pirate's Cove.

“We hope this will become a lasting legacy on campus at Seton Hall long after we graduate,” said Collier.

Mets tickets for Seton Hall students are on sale through the Student Activities Board. SHU students pay five dollars for seats in sections 308 and 309, and busing to-and-from the game is available if the tickets are ordered through SAB.

For non-students, discounted tickets can be purchased by contacting Eric Fox at the New York Mets Group Sales department at efox@nymets.com or at (718) 559-3037.
