PAC Distinguished Lecture Series
Dr. Needham is an expert in infant development. In this talk, Dr.
Needham will present findings from her research program on the
development of reaching in infancy, which is one of the first motor
skills to develop after birth and thus an important contributor to
infants’ learning and developmental experiences. Dr. Needham will
discuss how perceptual, motor, and cognitive mechanisms support the
early development of this important motor skill. Partial funding for
