Religion and Sport in the Thought of Pope John Paul II
On Tuesday March 4 Fr. Warren Hall, Director of Campus Ministry
will deliver a lecture on "Religion and Sport in the Thought of Pope John Paul II" at 8:30 p.m. in the
Chancellor Suite of the University Center. Please join us.

Director, Campus Ministry
Rev. Warren R. Hall is a native of Jersey City and was ordained in
1989 as a priest of the Roman Catholic Archdiocese of Newark. He
attended Seton Hall University earning BA, Master of Divinity, and
Master of Theology Degrees.
His parish assignments within the Archdiocese have included service
at St. Michael Parish, Cranford, and St. Mary, Dumont. He also served
as priest secretary to Theodore Cardinal McCarrick, former Archbishop of
Newark. Between 1999 and 2003, Father Hall taught at St. Elizabeth
Parish and School in Wilmington, Delaware and served as assistant to
Bishop Michael Saltarelli, Bishop of Wilmington.
Prior to his appointment to Seton Hall University, Fr. Hall was the
Director of the Office of Campus Ministry and Community Outreach at St.
Thomas University, Miami, Florida. He served on the executive board of
the National Catholic Campus Ministry Association (CCMA) and has
published related articles in the CCMA publication, Crossroads.
In his work in Campus Ministry Fr. Hall “specializes” in ministry to
athletes. He is currently engaged in research that seeks to understand
the link between athleticism, sport, and spirituality.
Fr. Hall is currently teaching a course titled, “Sports and Spirituality: A Catholic Perspective”.
