Advanced Social Media: Meet the Instructors!

Social MediaContinuing Education and Professional Studies is pleased to announce its newest certificate in advanced social media, “Social Media: Building and Marketing a Successful Campaign.” Courses are led by the high energy team of Kelly O’Neil and Bryan Felt.

Join Bryan and Kelly for “Social Media: Building and Marketing a Successful Campaign” Saturdays this Spring. According to Kelly, “social media is always a work in progress but what makes it so great is that anyone can use it—whether it’s a for profit, a non-profit or a campus organization.” If you consider yourself an advanced user of social media and are interested in developing an in-depth campaign that includes branding, content planning, and metrics, then this course is for you!

Since joining the Seton Hall community three years ago, Kelly O’Neil has fast tracked to Assistant Director of Athletics for Marketing & Promotions. Kelly brings high energy and an innovative spirit to campus, which she attributes much to her experiences as an undergraduate athlete. Prior to joining Seton Hall, Kelly earned her MBA in Marketing at Iona University. While excelling in her daily work responsibilities, Kelly is also pursuing a Ph.D. at Seton Hall. Kelly has a proven track record of success and, along with Bryan Felt, is credited with helping to revitalize SHU Athletics social media.

Bryan Felt, a Seton Hall graduate, is the Associate Athletic Director of Development and External Affairs and Executive Director of the Pirate Blue Athletic Fund. By leveraging his BA in Communication and his MA in Corporate and Public Communication, Bryan has helped to bring SHU Athletics to new heights. Last year, over the course of 24 hours, Bryan helped to bring in over $70,000 during donor matching day via SHU Athletics social media. A veteran fundraiser and social media strategy innovator, Bryan states “in marketing you have to go where the people are. More and more, Athletics continues to reach new heights using social media, however, it’s not just the message, that’s important—it’s the interaction that’s involved.”
