Matthew HaleMatthew Hale was recently named the President-Elect of the Nonprofit Academic Centers Council (NACC). The NACC is a membership association comprised of academic centers or programs at accredited colleges and universities that focus on the study of nonprofit organizations, voluntarism and/or philanthropy.

Established in 1991, NACC is dedicated to the promotion and networking of academic centers that provide research and education in philanthropy and the nonprofit sector. In 2007, NACC published the first and to date only set of national curricular guidelines for nonprofit management education for both graduate and undergraduate students. In the coming year, NACC will be embarking on a plan to update and revise those curricular guidelines, a process that Hale will help lead from his position on the Board as President-Elect. NACC also recently started a national honor society Nu Lambda Mu for graduate students in Nonprofit Management. Hale has served on the board of NACC for two years, most recently as Vice-President of Membership and will succeed current NACC President Dr. Stuart Mendel, the Assistant Dean/Director of the Center for Nonprofit Policy and Practice at Cleveland State University, in 2015.
