Spanish Honor Society InductionThe following seventeen students were initiated into Theta Rho, Seton Hall's chapter of Sigma Delta Pi, the National Collegiate Spanish Honor Society, in recognition of their high academic achievement in Spanish courses: Chase A. Agapito, Rachel E. Beck, Alexa D. Birchenough, Irene Candelaria, Kevin N. Coroneos, Corrine A. Derderian, Emily M. Gavarny, Ana S. Goncalves, Antoinette M. Gissubel, Stephen J. Lompado, Claudia Lorenzo, Alexandra J. Pierlott, Krystina A. Riggi, Reanna A. Sharma, Megan M. Sherwood, Gabrielle E. Titone, and Mark A. Vitale. 

Each new member received a certificate, a pin, and honor cords. Dr. Daniel Zalacain, the chapter advisor, organized and directed the ceremony. Goncalves, Lompado,and Pierlott read poems written by Spanish and Latin American poets, as well as a fragment of Cervante's Don Quixote. Drs. Alvarez-Amell, Rivera-Cordero, and Pennington also congratulated the new members. Dr. Pennington enlivened the event with his Spanish guitar. A reception followed the ceremony, which was well-attended by parents and friends.
