A Secondary Education Methods class invited Orange High School Students to spend the day at Seton Hall on November 26. The students were taken on a tour of the campus, met with financial aid officers, and engaged in lessons taught by Ed Studies students on genocide throughout history and the rise of Hitler. The class also facilitated at the NJ State We the People; The Citizen and the Constitution State Finals held at Rutgers University last February. They also served as electronic mentors to several classes working on Project Citizen activities at an area middle school . The students worked with Teacher Education History majors at the Borys Grinchenko Kyiv University in Ukraine both in planning and teaching lessons electronically.
The students included: Genocide Lesson- Paige Herriot, Krystal Turner, Tony Rodriguez, Angela Digioia; Holocaust lesson-Rich Savner, Kate Hudson, Aidan Finger, Joel Griffieth, and Shane Rowan.
