Campus Ministry Advent Retreat

SHU Advent RetreatThis moment where our God enters history and our world in an ultimate way and taking our humanity as a little child, is such an important part of our identity as Christians and Catholics. But it is not simply an event in the past to be remembered every 25th of December. Far from it! Christmas is a mystery that we are called to live TODAY! To help us do this, we are given the time of Advent to help us prepare for and live the mystery of the Incarnation.

Come spend 40 hours in a monastic environment with the Brothers and Sisters of St John, FOCUS, SPO, other college students and young people as Fr. Francis of the Child Jesus CSJ helps us discover, enter into and live this great mystery of our faith.

There will be a few talks, break out sessions, time for prayer both communally and personally, confession, personal spiritual direction, great food and joy.

We have kept the cost at $35.00 (for Seton Hall University students) for the whole weekend, including transportation, food and lodging so that all can attend.

To sign up, please go to Campus Ministry during regular business hours and give the $35.00 to either Marie or Melinda who will put you on the list and have you fill out a waiver for the transportation.

We are looking forward to sharing this time with you. And are excited to grow with you, ever closer to God in this beautiful time of Advent!
