Sean Rainford, Stillman MBA student, has won first place in the 2013
Rhoda Isaacs Scholarship in Supply Chain Management competition. The
Rhoda Issacs scholarship is sponsored by the New York chapter of the
Council for Supply Chain Management Professionals (CSCMP). The first
place winner is typically selected from a competitive array of both
graduate level and undergraduate supply chain students from colleges and
universities in the greater New York City area.
Rainford's winning essay
addressed key trends shaping supply chain including the rise of
knowledge workers and the evolution of "big data" to "fast data."
"Winning this award was due largely in part to the education I have
received from Dr. Penina Orenstein and others in the Stillman MBA
program. This program will serve me very well in my career pursuits and
afford me the opportunity to be an ambassador and testament to the
exceptional quality of education offered at the Stillman School."
Rainford wins a fully sponsored trip to the annual Global CSCMP
conference in Denver, Colorado, taking place this month. At the
conference, he will have the opportunity to learn from and network with
2,000+ supply chain industry professionals.
Rainford joins a growing list of Stillman MBA students winning awards
in supply chain management, including Wambui Gathu who recently won the Institute of Supply Chain Management - Capital One Scholarship.
