Slavic Halloween Night

Russian matrioshkasOctober 31st, 2013, at 6:30 p.m., in the Back Rooms AB-C, in the Walsh Library, Slavic Club, in conjunction with the Office of International Programs and its International Month Celebration, will be holding its annual Slavic Halloween Night.

During this Halloween Night Slavic Club will be showing the famous Russian/Ukrainian horror movie based on Gogol's novella, "Viy", and each participant will be painting - from scratch - his/her own Russian matrioshkas.

Also, a short lecture by one of SHU Russian faculty members will be given about similar Slavic traditions in Russia and Easter Europe in order to enlighten our audience on this topic in other parts of the globe.

Cost of all the materials: $5 per person.

Everyone is welcome!

Slavic refreshments will be served!
