SHU Choir with Jason Tramm"It's exciting to get my students on the Big Stage where they will get to work with a professional orchestra, professional musicians and top-level soloists, some of the finest in the world. This is an incredible learning experience to see how music works at this level," said Jason Tramm, artistic director for The MidAtlantic Opera.

The Seton Hall singers will perform with renowned soloists Sharon Azreil Perez, Christina Major, Sara Murphy, Ronald Naldi, Jordan Shanahan, and Jeremy Galyon. Previous singers who have performed on this historic stage have included Enrico Caruso, Marian Anderson and Lily Pons.

The program will explore arias and ensembles from Verdi's operas, including Nabucco, Rigoletto, Un Ballo in Maschera, La Traviata, Il Trovatore, Otello, Aïda, and La Forza del Destino, with a cast of more than 150 musicians, soloists, chorus and orchestra members. It will include a narration and multimedia presentation of Verdi’s life. A percentage of the concert proceeds will be donated to help restore the Great Auditorium roof of the historic 6,500 seat venue, which was partially damaged by Hurricane Sandy. Read more »
