Badlands in South Dakota
From March 8 – 15, 2014, the Dean's Office of the College of Arts and Sciences will host a trip to the Pine Ridge Reservation in South Dakota, an Oglala Lakota Native American reservation. This servant-leadership experience is in connection with Our Lady of the Sioux Parish, located in Oglala, South Dakota.

Student volunteers will be introduced to the people of Oglala and the Red Cloud Missionary system, and will have the opportunity to learn about their culture as well as the social justice issues they face. In particular, students will participate in service efforts through Our Lady of the Sioux Parish in collaboration with the pastoral associate, who is an active member of the Oglala Sioux tribe.

If you are interested in participating in this opportunity, please pick up an application from Fahy Hall Room 130, due November 1, 2013.

Bring your desire to change the world, one person at a time, and to being changed forever!
