About the Instructor
Mary Pat McCarthy, D.Ed., CCC-SLP, is an associate professor and clinical
supervisor at Clarion University of Pennsylvania. In addition to her duties as
clinical supervisor at the university's Speech and Hearing Clinic, Dr. McCarthy
teaches in the areas of articulation and phonology, language disorders in
children, and clinical practice. She has taught at Clarion University of
Pennsylvania since 1994 and has served children and adults as an ASHA-certified
speech-language pathologist since 1987. Her primary research interests include
clinical education pedagogy and clinical practice.
