Thanks to the support of dedicated Seton Hall alumni, Seton Hall will report an increase in annual alumni giving for this fiscal year. This year's goal was to increase the alumni participation rate from 6.8% to 7.8%. With the incredible outpouring of support from alumni, Seton Hall surpassed that goal, reaching 8.06%.
"I was moved to see how many alumni came out to support Seton Hall, and
moreover, how many alumni sent notes by email, Facebook and Twitter
about their love for our University," wrote
David Bohan, vice president of University Advancement, in a letter thanking alumni for their continued support of Seton Hall.
Bohan also commented on the impact that this increase will play in Seton Hall's rankings. "The alumni giving rate plays a critical role in U.S. News & World Report's "Best Colleges" rankings. Achieving an increase of this magnitude is truly remarkable given the decline in alumni giving among most colleges and universities throughout the nation in recent years."
