Helping Seton Hall Students Achieve Their Dreams
Seton Hall > News & Events

Ed and Allison LucasEdward J. Lucas (’62) has overcome tremendous obstacles in becoming a successful sports journalist and motivational speaker. Out of gratitude for the role which Seton Hall played in helping Ed achieve his dreams, he has sought the support of his friends and family as well as that of the New York Yankees, WCBS Radio and others to establish the Ed and Allison (’85) Lucas Fund to help students at the University who are classified with disabilities. The Ed and Allison Lucas Fund has two main goals: to provide the Office of Disability Support Services with assistive and adaptive technology, and to provide scholarships to students with disabilities. The first scholarships were just awarded in the last academic year.

On Monday, August 26, 2013, a golf classic will be held to benefit the Ed Lucas Foundation. The Gene Michael Celebrity Charity Golf Classic will tee off at the Brooklake Country Club in Florham Park, NJ. To participate as a Corporate Sponsor, Foursome, Individual golfer, or dinner guest, please contact Ed Lucas at (908) 868-2119 or by e-mail at ed.l@edlucasfoundation.org.
