Seton Hall > News & Events

Expansion to Washington, D.C.Unique to the field of international relations, the School of Diplomacy offers students the opportunity to experience first-hand the inner-workings of our nation’s capital as well as the United Nations community and the world of international business. An affiliate member of the Association of Professional Schools of International Affairs (APSIA), the School is the only member school to have this kind of presence in both New York City and Washington, D.C.

Having a presence in Washington, D.C., with a U.S. government focus is an ideal complement to a New York, United Nations-focused program. Through the School's exclusive alliance with the United Nations Foundation, the United Nations Association of the USA, and an extensive network of contacts in Washington, D.C., students practice international relations with top experts while contributing to national and international diplomacy efforts through some of the most prestigious internships in the country.

Graduate and undergraduate students have the opportunity to complete semester-long internships at organizations and government agencies such as the White House, the CIA, U.S. Departments of State, Commerce, Homeland Security and Justice; at businesses such as McClatchy Newsgroup and World Bank Group; and at nongovernmental organizations and embassies while maintaining their degree program at Seton Hall University.
