Seton Hall University's Chapter of the Public Relations Student Society of America (PRSSA) has selected Ashley Manz, Account Executive and Social Media Coordinator at Beckerman Public Relations in Hackensack, NJ, as the 2013 recipient of its coveted ROPE in Success Award. Named after the four parts of a public relations campaign (Research, Objectives, Programming and Evaluation), the annual award acknowledges one tri-state area professional who has shared exceptional mentoring and support with Seton Hall University public relations students, interns and graduates. The award will be presented to Manz at the ROPE in Success Event at 6:30 pm on April 18 in the University’s Chancellor's Suite in Seton Hall's University Center at 400 South Orange Avenue, South Orange, NJ.

Manz, a recent graduate of Seton Hall and the University’s PRSSA chapter president during the 2012-2013 academic year, joined the Beckerman Public Relations team last year and has garnered media placements in national, regional and local print, broadcast and online media. During her term as chapter president, she helped complete Seton Hall’s application for Certification in Education for Public Relations (CEPR) from the Public Relations Society of America (PRSA).

Seton Hall University's 2013 ROPE in Success event also celebrates the University receiving this international accreditation. The CEPR acknowledges Seton Hall as one of the best places to study public relations in the world.

"It is a true honor to be given the ROPE in Success award, especially during this accreditation year," said Manz. "As someone who benefited greatly from the great mentoring and wisdom that I received at Seton Hall and through PRSSA, I continue to work with the organization and with the University so that I can do my best to help current students learn and grow."

Past honorees of the ROPE in Success award include Sandra Maloney, Assistant Director of Seton Hall's Career Center (2012), Josh Balber of the New Jersey Performing Arts Center (2011), Joan Bosisio of Stern + Associates (2010), Michael W. Kempner of the MWW Group (2009) Kathleen Waugh of Toys R Us (2008), and Tom Coyne of Coyne PR (2007).
