Marta Deyrup, Ph.D., professor/catalogue coordinator, University Libraries, and Brenda Knight, assistant to the dean, College of Arts & Sciences, are named the 2013 Women of the Year.

The Woman of the Year award recognizes and honors outstanding leaders at Seton Hall who have made significant contributions to the success of women at the University.

In addition to being a dedicated and well-published faculty member, Deyrup is also involved in the Women’s Conference, the Elizabeth Ann Seton Center for Women's Studies, and many other on-campus organizations focused on helping women.

With 40 years of service to the University, Knight has spent many of those years as chief steward for Local 153, whose membership is primarily female. She is also mentor and advisor for the National Council of Negro Women (NCNW) and over the years, has served as an unofficial mentor and advisor to many of Seton Hall's female students.

Deyrup and Knight will be celebrated at the University's Women's Conference.
