Accessible Course Design WorkshopThe Teaching, Learning and Teachnology Center and the Office of Disability Support Services is pleased to offer a workshop on ADA Compliance Considerations and Best Practices for Accessible Online Course Design! This session will explore how the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) applies to technology and information in a higher education environment. This presentation will address technological accessibility, how it is achieved, and its importance to teaching and learning in the 21st Century. With the proliferation of online/hybrid courses it is essential to proactively design courses to be accessible and inclusive. Participants will leave with an understanding of some of the common challenges faced by students with disabilities and best practices for creating accessible materials. A light lunch will be served.
