Grammar Workshop for Professionals
Seton Hall > News & Events

ProfessionalFor many of us, early grammar lessons didn’t stick; the teaching was dry and unimaginative and the rules were vague, even arbitrary. The truth is, like changing the oil, we all need a little grammar maintenance. This program is a comprehensive grammar refresher to keep your writing engine humming. After this day-and-a-half workshop, you’ll be in prime shape to communicate with the utmost professionalism.

Creative lessons will transform complicated (and common!) grammar problems into clear, comprehensible writing solutions. We will start with the basics and build a solid foundation, reviewing the parts of speech, sentence structure, and punctuation. We then will cover all those terms you’ve heard but could never quite grasp, like subject-verb agreement, past participles, dangling and misplaced modifiers, transitional expressions, and clauses.

You are invited to submit an "exam" after the course for full evaluation and tailored suggestions for improvement.
