Children's HourSeton Hall University’s Department of Communication and The Arts presents The Children’s Hour, opening December 6, 2012 in the Theatre-in-the-Round in the University Center. The show is the second Seton Hall Theatre production of the year and is directed by student Iame Mannuci, under the faculty mentorship of Deirdre Yates, the Theatre Program Director.

One of the great successes of Lillian Hellman’s career, this serious, adult play focuses on two women who run a school for girls. A malicious youngster starts an entirely unfounded scandal about them which precipitates tragedy for the women. Later it is discovered that the gossip was pure invention, but by that time irreparable damage has been done. It is a classic tale that resonates in our society today. The cast includes returning actors Nicole Lippy ’13 and Emily Yates ’14 and new talent Shawnta Cazeau ’13, Vlad Boscor ’13, Megan Smith ‘16 and Lindsey Reams ‘16.

Tickets can be purchased at the box office in the Student Center at the performances. All tickets are $5 - general admission. Performances are at 8 p.m. on December 6, 7, and 8, and 2 p.m. on December 9.
