Public Invited to Advent Retreat: Eyewitnesses to His Majesty
People from all backgrounds desiring to explore their faith are invited to participate in an Advent Retreat: Eyewitnesses to His Majesty from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Saturday, December 1, 2012 at Seton Hall University's Immaculate Conception Seminary, Lewis Hall, 400 South Orange Ave., South Orange, NJ.
"Pope Benedict XVI declared this year to be a Year of Faith and the importance of the call for a New Evangelization. He urges Catholics to 'rediscover their journey of faith,' to study the content of our faith in order to become 'joy filled credible witnesses' of the Gospel message," said Diane Carr, Director of the Center for Prayerfully Speaking in the Institute for Christian Spirituality, the retreat sponsor.
Featured presenters Jeannie Barnett, Racquel Booth, Kate Dodds, Raymond Gonzalez, Donna Gormley, Barbara La Porte, Jeanne Mindingall, Thomas Peletier and Eileen Zeismer are graduate students in Spiritual Theology & Public Speaking, coming from all walks of life and sharing their journey. From a property manager to a corporate executive, college educators, a career consultant, a hospice social worker, parish ministers, and a mother, wife and office manager, the retreat should be an inspirational journey and a meaningful dialogue for all participants.
"If you are looking for a way to prayerfully enter into Advent in this "Year of Faith", Eyewitnesses to His Majesty Retreat will touch your soul and nourish your faith!" explained Professor Carr.
The registration fee of $15 includes continental breakfast and lunch, so it is requested that people pre-register as soon as possible by contacting Kristine Hudak at (973) 761-9633 or Kristine.firstname.lastname@example.org.
