HR Annual Open Enrollment
Seton Hall > News & Events

HR Annual Open Enrollment 2013Online Open Enrollment for participation in the University’s health and flexible spending plans starts today, Thursday, October 25 and ends Thursday, November 8, 2012. This is your annual opportunity to join our plans or make changes (move to a different plan, add or drop dependents, move from single to family etc.). If you make any changes during Open Enrollment they will be effective January 1, 2013, the beginning of our new plan year. Detailed information about our plans, coverage options, and employee contributions can be found on the HR Open Enrollment web site. For your convenience, Banner Self-Service on-line enrollment functionality is available 24/7.

We are pleased to inform you that we were able to secure a very favorable renewal from Cigna this year resulting in no changes to our current plans, and no increase in cost to you. Therefore, if you are not making any changes to your current health selections you need not do anything at this time. However, anyone who is currently enrolled or who wants to become a new participant in the pre-tax Flexible Spending Account (FSA) must take action to re-enroll or join this program.

In addition to the information found on the HR Open Enrollment web site, we will be hosting three benefit fairs where you can ask your questions in-person and gain a better understanding of all the benefits the University offers. Representatives from human resources and the various benefit vendors that we partner with will be on hand to assist you with any questions you may have regarding your benefit options. The dates and times of the sessions are as follows

South Orange Campus – Friday, November 2
University Center, Chancellor’s Suite UC03
10 a.m. to 2 p.m.

Newark Campus – Monday, November 5
Law School, Law School Library – Conference Room
10 a.m. to 2:30 p.m.

South Orange Campus - Thursday, November 8
Walsh Library, Beck A, B and C
9:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m.

Again, if you are not making any changes to your benefits, you will not need to take any action. However, participants in the pre-tax spending accounts must re-enroll, if they wish to continue to enjoy this benefit in 2013. (Please note that the federally mandated 2013 limit for the health care flexible spending account will be reduced to $2,500.)

We encourage you to take this annual opportunity to review your benefits and all that we offer.
