Nursing Alum Honored

Seton Hall College of Nursing alumnus Gloria V. Hermoso, RN, BSN, CCRN, MSN, rGloria Hermosoecently received a Nursing Excellence Award for Critical Nursing/Inpatient care. Gloria, who graduated in May from the Health Systems Administration program with her Master’s of Science in Nursing, was nominated by her coworkers at Somerset Medical Center and was chosen as the NewYork/New Jersey winner by Nurse.com. As the regional finalist, she is now competing nationally with all of the winners throughout the United States; those winners will be announced in the fall.

Gloria, who also received the Sara M. Errickson Medal at Convocation, gives credit to her education at Seton Hall College of Nursing, “As Jean Watson wrote, the guide for nursing and caring is to be the best nurse possible. Opportunities for professional growth and excellence in nursing education and clinical practice abound, and Seton Hall University has provided me the opportunity to do just that- to be the best nurse possible.”
