Dr. Michael Valdez
Congratulations to Dr. Michael Valdez for his most recent academic achievement. His paper, "Cultural Capital and Entrepreneurial Success in a Dual Society" has been accepted for the 2012 Academy of Management Meeting in Boston, Mass. It was deemed to be one of the very best papers submitted and will therefore be included in the prestigious Best Paper Proceedings of the 2012 Academy of Management Meeting. Congratulations, Dr. Valdez, for this very high honor and major academic achievement!

Dr. Michael E. Valdez is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Management, where he teaches undergraduate and graduate courses international management, strategy and business policy. Dr. Valdez’s research interests center on international management, cross-cultural management issues, entrepreneurial success factors in the Pacific Islands and organizational reputation.

Dr. Valdez has also presented his research at various conferences in the United States and abroad and is a member of the Academy of Management and the Academy of International Business.
