Sarah Ray
Sarah Ray, a freshmen in the Honors Program uses her Lenovo ThinkPad Tablet PC to practice writing Chinese characters using the Notes Mobile App. Majoring in Diplomacy, Sarah received her tablet in fall 2011 as part of Seton Hall’s Tablet Pilot Program.

Pre-installed on the tablet, Notes Mobile supports 85 languages using character recognition. By changing the language to Chinese, Sarah can use the tablet’s pen to practice homework exercises assigned in her Chinese class. The program checks her hand drawn characters against its recognition engine for a possible match, which it displays. Sarah has instant feedback!

With Notes Mobile you can create any number of notebooks, making it ideal for taking notes in class using the tablet stylus or your finger. Images can be either drawn or imported. With just a few clicks your notes can then be exported to Dropbox, a cloud storage service where you can retrieve them on any computer or smartphone.

For iPad users, Notes Mobile is also available for $7.99 »
