The American Accounting Association has invited Stillman faculty associate Kenneth Heaslip, M.S., M.B.A., CPA, to present at their annual meeting scheduled for August 5-8, in Chicago, IL.
Founded in 1916, the American Accounting Association promotes worldwide excellence in accounting education, research and practice.
During the annual meeting, Heaslip will address “Deceptive Accounting Practices,” and provide an “Update on Independence and other Ethics Rulings by the AICPA and State Boards of Accountancy.”
Heaslip is a frequent speaker in all areas of accounting and taxation as well as on careers in accounting. He currently serves as secretary of the NJSCPA (The New Jersey Society of Certified Public Accountants) Scholarship Fund and is an active member of several NJSCPA committees in taxation and student affairs.
He is also actively involved in NJSCPA’s commitment to provide New Jersey residents with information about managing their personal finances effectively. In past seminars for residents, he has discussed tax saving tips and strategies as well as how to take advantage of deductions and tax breaks.
