Bioinorganic Chemistry of Mercury Lecture on November 17

All are invited by the Department of Chemistry and Biochemistry to attend Dr. Gerard Parkin’s lecture, entitled “Bioorganometallic Chemistry of Mercury and the Impact of Coordination of Lewis Acids to Metal Centers,” on Tuesday, November 17, 2009 at 5:45 p.m. in the McNulty Hall Amphitheater, Room 101.  There will be a reception in McNulty Hall Conference Room 104 at 5:15 p.m. This lecture is part of the College of Arts and Sciences President’s Advisory Council Distinguished Guest Lecturer Series.

Dr. Parkin joined the faculty of Columbia University in 1988.  Among his many awards, he is the recipient of the American Chemical Society Award in Pure Chemistry and the American Chemical Society Award in Organometallic Chemistry.
