Seton Hall > News & Events

The Sister Rose Thering Endowment for Jewish-Christian and Holocaust Studies will host Holocaust survivor Norbert Bikales on Sunday, December 6 at 2 p.m. in the Beck Rooms when he presents the award-winning documentary, The Children of Chabannes.

A moving tale of heroism and courage in a small village in occupied France during World War II, the film shows how the villagers managed to save 400 Jewish refugee children from death by the Nazis.  Mr. Bikales is one of these survivors.  Since he arrived in the United States he has led a full and productive life as a chemist and has published many articles and books.  He will answer questions following the film.  Refreshments will be served.

All are welcome, but advance reservations are requested. Contact Marilyn Zirl at marilyn.zirl@shu.edu or (973) 761-9006.
