Two Nonprofit Professional Development Programs
Seton Hall > News & Events

This fall, the Nonprofit Sector Resource Institute will again offer two professional development programs on the Seton Hall University campus: the Board Leadership Institute (BLI), and  the Financial Management Certificate Program (FMCP).  Both programs have been extremely well received by past participants.

  • BLI is designed to enhance the effectiveness of business, professional and community leaders when serving on nonprofit boards. It caters to professional people and community leaders, but welcomes anyone with an interest in nonprofit boards. The program will be held on five consecutive Thursday afternoons at 3 - 6:30 p.m., starting October 15 and running through November 12, 2009.

  • FMCP is designed for anyone interested in developing the capacity to make effective use of financial information in the general management, governance and resource development processes. The program will be held on six Saturdays at 9 a.m. - 2:30 p.m. beginning October 3 and running through November 14, 2009 (excluding October 10).

Because of the current economic situation, the tuition for each program in fall 2009 has been lowered to $750; a partial scholarship is available for applicants with a financial need.

Applications and materials for these programs can be obtained on the NSRI web site or by  calling (973) 275-2780.
