The Walsh Gallery at Seton Hall University is pleased to announce the upcoming exhibition, “Windows to Heaven,” a show dedicated to icons of the Byzantine Catholic faith.  “Windows to Heaven” showcases icons in order to demonstrate the unique and integral role they play in Byzantine Catholicism.  The title, “Windows to Heaven,” is derived from the use of icons as windows to the spiritual world.  This exhibit focuses on important figures of the Byzantine faith and the everyday use of icons in the church and at home.  “Windows to Heaven” will showcase icons from private collections as well as icons from The Byzantine Catholic Eparchy of Passaic, NJ. This exhibition is co-curated by Sasha Makuka and Allison Stevens who are second-year Museum Professions graduate students at Seton Hall University. The Walsh Gallery is free and open to the public Monday through Friday 10:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. An exhibition brochure will be available at the gallery.
