President’s Award for Service to Students to Sheridan & Sowa Seton Hall > News & Events Thursday, August 27, 2009 by: John Sowa, Ph.D. and Michelle Sheridan Each year students are asked to nominate members of the Seton Hall University community for the President’s Award for Service to Students. This year’s recipients are Michelle Sheridan, Director of the Division of Volunteer Efforts (DOVE) and John Sowa, Ph.D., Associate Professor of Chemistry and Biochemistry.
Ms. Sheridan (pictured with a group of students who were fundraising for trips to Haiti and El Salvador, red shirt, back row) has enthusiastically worked to inspire Seton Hall students to volunteer their time and talents toward people in need.
Prof. Sowa (shown with student, Jenesto Floro ’09) is cited for his teaching excellence, involvement with students in research and teaching laboratories and leadership in the renovation of the Science and Technology Center.
