Petra McKenzie graduated in May with a Bachelor of Arts in Sociology and a minor in Psychology. During her four years at Seton Hall, Petra participated in many clubs and organizations, including the National Council of Negro Women, St. Thomas Moore Pre-Law Society, Black Student Union, West Indian Student Organization, and Haitian Organization Promoting Education. She also worked as an assistant with the Seton Hall University Athletic Center.
During her last year at Seton Hall, Petra secured a competitive internship with PNC Bank's Powerful Newark Coalition. Petra was so successful in her work, she earned one of the 2009 Experiential Education Student Awards. Petra is continuing her work with PNC Bank while applying for law school, where she hopes to study immigration, international policy and human rights issues.
