Maxim Matusevich, Ph.D., assistant professor of history and director of the Russian and East European Studies Program, has been awarded a highly competitive National Endowment for Humanities (NEH) Fellowship to participate in a 2009 Summer Institute held at the New York Public Library.
The 2009 Summer Institute will bring together an interdisciplinary group of international scholars working on the history of cultural encounters between the United States and Russia. This year the scholars will focus on the following theme: “America Engages Russia, circa 1880 – 1930: Studies in Cultural Interaction.”
